Founder of Our School

A plaque on the wall of our school reads as follows:

"Dedicated to the memory of J.P. Taravella (1919-1978), a founder, president and chairman of Coral Properties, Inc., Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and a founder of the City of Coral Springs in 1963.

His deep commitment to the youth of our community and their quality education is evidenced by his 32 years of achievement in securing fine public and private schools both in Coral Springs and the Coral Ridge area of Fort Lauderdale.

His devotion and service to his country, his state, his county, and his city are qualities, which his peers gratefully acknowledge, and which should be emulated by those generations who follow.
